Thanks for taking a moment to visit my site. Personal training and nutrition consulting is a relationship built on trust, so let me begin by giving you a little background on me.

I'm a seventeen year veteran personal trainer, fitness expert, author, speaker, and nutrition geek. I train clients and consult low-carb / primal nutrition principles at my private studio in downtown Hickory, NC. I also consult via telephone and internet. In my nearly two decades in the trenches of fitness and nutrition, I've helped thousands of men and women achieve fitness success all over the country. I do take great pride in my ability to empower individuals to leave behind an unhealthy lifestyle for good and incorporate his principles of “Movement and Consumption” to achieve a complete lifestyle shift back to our ancestral roots. My objective is to diligently spread "fitness reality" to my clients and help them attain the level of fitness success they desire. My training methods have been called “enlightening”, “innovative” and “transformational”. My intense love of fitness and nutrition work together to facilitate optimum performance for you, and I'm honored to have evolved into one of the most sought after Personal Trainers in the Southeast and the most retained trainer in the Catawba Valley.

I'm also proud to bethe authority on low-carb, paleo, and primal nutrition in the Catawba Valley. With body composition being determined by 80% to 90% nutrition, it's critical that we address the way you feed your body to achieve a high level of performance and leanness.

My goal is to teach others how to attain optimum health through a balance of nutrition, exercise, and motivation. As a public speaker, I've spoke to seminar audiences from coast to coast. My seminars and clinics are loaded with information to enable people to liberate themselves from the many myths and misconceptions surrounding fitness and nutrition. I strive to deliver my message in an energetic and interactive manner, which I hope adds to my popularity and success. I work very hard to seamlessly translates this information the gym floor where my clients can benefit from my knowledge one-on-one. I'm an advocate for the people and my mission is to educate and motivate others to achieve superior quality of life while positively effecting physical and mental growth. I assure you I leave no stone left unturned in my quest to improve the quality of life of my clients. I truly hope my training style and nutritional information is a welcome change in an industry plagued by gimmicks, lies, misinformation and hard to follow fads that simply don't work!

As a personal trainer, the greatest honor and pleasure is the opportunity to share the love and passion for fitness with others. Over the years I have been able to apply, research and completely scrutinize dozens and dozens of approaches to health and physique improvement.  I've had the unique opportunity to see so many sides of fitness.  Additionally, working in the trenches with real people every day has also given us complete perspective on how to bring about change in others. Paramount to this is the fact that the road to major change is long and narrow and few will find it. If you believe the infomercials and much of the media about how to get fit and lose weight… than we are probably not for you. However, if you believe that peak fitness, performance, and lasting change come at a price…than maybe I'm the guy to guide you on your journey. The following are some key things that I have learned, and would want you to know before we begin down the road to change.

  1. There is no magic pill. A strong, fit, lean healthy body is built through hard work, sacrifice, and effort. There will be discomfort.

  2. You will have to forget much of what conventional wisdom, government agencies, and money-driven corporations have taught you about eating, dieting, and performance nutrition. There will be concepts that may appear counter intuitive; however I assure you that they are not. You MUST enter into this relationship with an open mind.

  3. That there is a synergy to fitness… and that omitting any portion of the synergy will bring lacking results.

  4. You do NOT have to spend hours and hours in the gym to have an incredible body and optimal health.

  5. The concept of dieting should be removed from your thinking forever. Never step on a scale, weigh food, or count calories again.

  6. Not sweating is not an option.

  7. 90% of people who crave serious change cannot do it by themselves. You will need a competent coach.

  8. You are not a victim of your metabolism or genetics… you are the creator of them. You are in control. But you must act, and act now!

  9. There are no quick fixes, and if your desire for change is completely vanity driven, I'm probably not the best option for you. I have a very “organic”, and pure approach to fitness and nutrition.

  10. If you are ready for a serious commitment to completely rewriting your fitness story, and are ready to work hard, sacrifice, and sweat… then I'm the trainer for you and look forward to being there with you to see it through.

  11. If you crave purpose, victory, and a life greater than what you are currently living, then you will succeed. “It's time to regress... in a good way!”

  12. There is NOTHING that I would ever ask you to do that I would not be willing to do myself.

If these twelve concepts appear acceptable to you then by all means let's get together and discuss the next steps for you.

If you desire to work with me as your personal trainer or nutrition coach, then shoot me an email and introduce yourself and give me a bit of insight as to what you are looking to accomplish.
